Private lessons

For over 35 years, Music Central has been one of Okotoks' most trusted names in music education. Today, we're proud to continue that tradition while introducing exciting new performance opportunities through Rock Academy.

Here at Rock Academy, we believe that private one-on-one lessons are the starting point of developing and honing your skills on your instrument. We offer high-quality classical music education, that the community has grown to love and trust, as well as a modern approach to music education that gets students excited to play. Studying with some of the best instructors and performers in the scene will give you the best outcome for comprehension and fluency on your instrument. Our teachers are well versed in many styles or genres and can offer lessons for all students at any level, beginner to advanced. Whether it’s basic rock beats, campfire chords or more intricate concepts, such as royal conservatory exam prep, our teachers will ensure the very best education for you or your child and get you prepared for playing music in the real world, outside of bedrooms and practice rooms.

By joining forces with Carla and the talented team at Music Central, Rock Academy now offers guitar, bass, drums, vocals, piano, and violin lessons in Okotoks. By bringing together the strengths of both schools, we're creating a place where every musician can find their own path—whether that's preparing for conservatory exams, performing in a rock band, or simply learning for the love of music. Rock Boot Camp

Outside of regular lessons, Rock Academy will be offering Rock Boot Camps, open to all (ages 13-19), giving young students the opportunity to play in a group setting and understand what modern Pop and Rock music is all about. Students are encouraged to continue playing in their bands outside of the Rock Boot Camp and hone their skills as a unit. Boot Camps will be open to all students, regardless of whether they attend Rock Academy for private lessons or take lessons from another school, or instructor. More information to follow.
