Mike Sands is a professional musician, educator, and entrepreneur based in Southern Alberta. As one of Alberta’s most in-demand session guitarists, Mike performs over 130 shows each year with multiple artists, records regularly in-studio, and has built a career performing across Canada and around the world. A two-time Country Guitar Player of the Year nominee, Mike has shared the stage with artists including Willie Nelson, Blue Rodeo, Big Wreck, and Jelly Roll.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, Mike has earned a reputation as one of Okotoks’ leading music educators. His approach combines professional-level musicianship with a passion for helping students of all ages and abilities discover their own voice as musicians.
